And as things fell apart/ Nobody paid much attention



If there is one song I could listen to on repeat for the rest of my life, it would be "(Nothing But) Flowers". It's by Talking Heads, and it's one of the most saddeningly upbeat songs I have ever heard. It has a Soweto-Melodic guitar line that's just fantastic. And it's referenced at the end of the gruesomely cool novel "American Psycho".

"I like to dissect girls. And I love the new Talking Heads LP."

"What the fuck are you doing? That's not how you kill a person...."
